This release restores a measure of description in the title bar to show, for example, the name of the most recently loaded chart, outline or quick chart. To accompany that new features, there is a new noun in the conditional expression vocabulary "message count"/"msg", which can be used in a condex to display only those aircraft with more (or less) than a certain number of messages.įor a while now, the title bar of the program has been rather uninformative. It may be particularly useful to help to decide if an XXnnnn ping (Mode-A) is real (many pings) or erroneous (few pings), since there is otherwise no error checking on those pings on which to base confidence. If the aircraft times out, the counter will reset. This simply counts up the number of messages from each aircraft since first reception in the current session. The View.Aircraft display and the "a" window now include a message counter for each aircraft. A space in the 'name' tag will now be reproduced on the chart previously it was removed. A "\n" between the 'name'-'/name' tags will force a new line in the label on the chart. This release adds the option to insert spaces and new lines in the 'name' parameter of a marker in a GPX file. With argument "6", the function returns the mean Mode-3A/3C message rate measured over the last 15 seconds. This release adds a new option to the GetDisplayParameter function in the OLE/COM interface. There is no way to distinguish the two from the available data so I chose one arbitrarily.

If the aircraft is in the cruise but not radiating altitude, then the correct display would be large circles or polygons. If an aircraft is actually on the ground, then the correct display would be tiny circles or polygons. There was some discussion regarding the best way to treat aircraft with no altitude. This release also allows you to select only the common "Venn" area or also to display the circles or polygons associated with each GS. When this option is first enabled, it downloads the current reported coverage of each active user so there is a slight pause while this is updated.

This release adds an option to display the probable location of a "position-less" aircraft based on the actual measured coverage of the five GS named in the share code list, rather than simply displaying the default circles around each GS.

This release adds decoding from a second message type (DF17:29), which is more common in some parts of the world. Previous versions of PlanePlotter were able to decode the pilot-defined target altitude from one of the Mode-S/ADS-B message types.

They should now download this current file to enjoy all of the new features. Note : Nine users have already downloaded a preview of this release at various stages of its development. Please don't write to me about it write to your security system provider and ask them to make their program smarter. Be aware that increasingly, security systems treat any new file as a threat without any justification except that it is new. If you have a version-specific firewall, you may have to reassure it that the new version is permitted to access the Internet.
